Short Throw Projectors – New by InFocus
Projectors initially found their use in business meetings and then made their way into home entertainment systems. Their prices have come down from drastically in the last few years and at the same time the quality and features have increased. Short Throw Projectors are relatively new variants in this field.
These affordable projectors ensured that small businesses could invest in one without breaking the bank. There was still one issue that of size, both of the projector and the size of the room. Most small businesses did not have large meeting rooms which could make effective use of these projectors. The advent of small projectors with short throw lens addressed these issues.
InFocus is one of the market leaders in digital projectors for business, education and home markets in the US and abroad. Their most recent DLP based short throw portable projectors are ideal for small businesses. They can also be used as a home entertainment projector, if there is a space constraint.
The InFocus IN1500 series (IN1501 and IN1503) addresses the needs of small businesses where meeting spaces are limited or non existent and portability is a high priority. The IN1500 projectors were available beginning Oct 2009.
These projectors are compact, portable, lightweight (4.4 lbs) and have a short throw lens. They offer a contrast ratio of 1:1800 and have a maximum brightness of 3,000 Lumens and native resolutions up to WXGA.
The specifications of the two short throw projectors in the series IN1501 and IN1503 do not vary much and either one of them would fit small businesses needs. The resolutions and the native aspect rations differ.
The street prices for these two short throw projectors are lower than their MSRP. If you had to pick one, it would be the IN1501 since the additional features do not buy you much and it will save you about $150. Amazon offers some of the lowest prices for these projectors.
